Loss Prevention combined with returns management capabilities enable a closed loop process to contend with a major industry issue of shrinkage and lost revenue. The advanced exception based reporting (EBR) techniques, Oracle Retail Loss Prevention solution analyzes transaction data from many aspects and identifies patterns that may indicate fraud or theft. As the Vice President of Retail Strategy and Solution Management, Jeff Warren is responsible for the development of the strategic roadmap vision for Oracle Retail based on market analysis and requirements. Jeff is a key stakeholder in the portfolio management and product lifecycle management initiatives to drive growth and customer satisfaction for the Retail Global Business Unit. 

Jeff Warren joined Oracle Retail through the acquisition of Retek, and brings more than 20 years of development experience across Merchandising, Planning, and Stores.  Jeff brings a broad perspective with his experience as an executive sponsor to retailers from multiple geographies and segments. Jeff Warren began his career at Accenture and APEX IT. Jeff Warren holds a degree from Iowa State. 

Open Sessions have been developed to provide flexibility for the non-Workshop / Boot Camp participant. This format allows you to move across product families to gain the best value and knowledge to enhance individual needs. Open sessions will range in depth of subject matter – please refer to the session abstracts for additional details. These sessions have been targeted to a wide audience from Business Development, Engagement Manager, to Field Practitioner.

Product Deep Dive have been developed to provide a highly interactive session or series of sessions around a specific subject matter for the non-Workshop / Boot Camp participant. This format is target to a field practitioner with deep domain knowledge without committing to committing to a single Workshop or Boot Camp to gain the best value and knowledge to enhance individual needs.  

Only those individuals registered for Workshops / Boot Camps will be allowed to participate. These are deep dive sessions that have been architected for learning through a series of lecture and exercises. It is extremely disruptive to individuals registered in these sessions to have people floating in and out of their dedicated sessions. Individuals electing to participate in Workshops / Boot Camps will not be allowed participate in “Open Sessions” offered  during the scheduled Workshops / Boot Camps. We ask that you respect our request and allow the participants to have the best learning experience at the event adhering to the session(s) policies.

Registration for Boot Camps will close once a maximum capacity has been reached or 14 days in advance of the scheduled event start date. Closure is required a minimum of 14 days in advance to ensure that all necessary environments, access, and materials can be published for the scheduled session.

This session will include activities to show how the application supports retailers, use of the applications, implementation considerations, and review of the supporting architecture.

Retail Reference Model and Retail Semantic Glossary

This session will delve deeper into the Retail Reference Model and Retail Semantic Glossary and provide participants with an understanding of how it is used in implementing Oracle Retail solutions.   The session will cover how the Retail Reference Model is developed within the Oracle R&D organization, providing participants the context on its relationship to the business objective that the software is designed to support.  We will also explore how the Retail Reference Model and the Retail Semantic Glossary has been used in implementation projects and discuss how it could and should be leveraged.  Please come prepared to share your examples on how business process has been used in implementing business solutions.

Retail Reference Architecture

This session will provide participants with key understandings of the Oracle Retail Reference Architecture models and narratives. The session will provide participants with perspective and guidance on how, for each Oracle solution (Commerce, Merchandising, Stores, Supply Chain and Analytics), the domains perspectives of Context, Logical, Integration and Physical fit together to deliver the end-to-end solutions. Key discussion topics will be each of the Enterprise and Domain Models particularly around the Integration Models. Please come to the session prepared to share your questions, examples and views.
